Job Title: EU Technical Representative – Specialty Coffee Enthusiasts Welcome!

The Role:

We are seeking a technical, travel-ready and coffee-passionate individual to join our growing team. 

As our newest Technical Representative, you will travel to roasteries in the EMEA area, install our equipment, and train our customers in how to optimize and operate our equipment. When not traveling, you’ll write how-to guides for our Knowledge Base, assist clients who need technical support, and work closely with our sales and technical team members to improve our customer’s experience.

Travel & Schedule:

  • This position will require moderate travel (averaging 5-10 Days/Month) mostly within Europe, and including some trips to North America and the Middle East.

  • On non-travel days, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a remote work schedule from your home office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Calibration & Training: You'll provide site preparation support and manage installs for our industrial coffee equipment, including layout planning with some CAD modeling, customer support, on-site execution, and exceptional customer education. This may involve moving and installing the equipment.

  • Exceptional Support: Provide timely and accurate after-sales service, diagnosing and resolving customer issues remotely via phone/email and on-site when needed (including stocking and occasionally shipping some parts). You'll be the primary point of contact for technical support for Europe and the Eastern Hemisphere.

  • Content Contribution: Your knowledge extends beyond technical expertise. You'll collaborate on creating informative content for marketing purposes and contribute to the development of training materials and service documents.

  • Tech Department Innovation: Help us improve our technical service department by suggesting system enhancements and contributing to the creation of user-friendly resources.

Qualifications:

  • Based in the EU with a valid passport and work authorization

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex industrial equipment systems

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively, and thrive in a remote work environment

  • Excellent teaching, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for exceeding expectations

  • Specialty coffee industry experience with strong understanding of coffee QC, cupping, and defect identification a plus

  • Experience with moving and installing industrial equipment is a plus

  • Experience in content creation (writing, video) and technical documentation is a plus

  • Familiarity with basic CAD modeling software (Solidworks, Fusion, etc) a plus

  • Can be located anywhere in Europe, but being located close to a commercial airport is recommended
