Brand Promise: Affordable Price

We’ve all been there. Spending thousands and thousands of dollars to set up your roastery only to be hit by another unforeseen bill. Whether it was in the midst of integrating new equipment, installing the equipment, training your employees on the equipment or everything in between, it adds up. And it’s almost always frustrating.

Sovda was birthed out of this frustration when one of our founders, Samuel Gurel, ran his own roastery in Pu’er, China and experienced firsthand how frustrating purchasing roasting equipment can be.

That’s why we are transparent about our pricing from beginning to end. You’ll know exactly what it’s going to cost you when you purchase a Sovda machine, no surprises.

We seek to make the buying and setting up process as smooth as possible, by offering in-person installation by a Sovda technician on all of our equipment for a low fee, and alternative, free remote commissioning on the majority of our equipment.

We are also able to keep our equipment affordable because Sovda is a vertically integrated company. Sovda is an owner in the factory where it builds most of its machines—in Nanjing, China.

Sovda was able to form this relationship because co-founder, Samuel Gurel, lived and breathed coffee in China for ten years, from cafés to coffee farming to coffee education.

Beyond our unique business structure that delivers high quality at a lower cost, Sovda maximizes each dollar you spend by designing products specifically for the coffee industry; rather than building a weigh and fill which compromises to work with many different commodities, the Precision Fill maximizes the only way you intend to use it—with coffee.

Similarly, the Destoner Lift combines two expensive pieces of equipment into one streamlined system that costs less than two standalone units would.

If you’d like to hear more about why Sovda machines are so affordable compared to our competitors, listen to our podcast with our Technical Brand Ambassador, Nicholas Flatoff and Co-founder, Maxime Boegler.
