How does Precision Fill compare to the original Precision Fill Mini?

Precision Fill is our original, tried and trusted, weigh-and-fill solution. While Precision Fill Mini maximizes smaller roastery integrations with its compact form factor, Precision Fill is better suited for higher-volume productions. It boasts a higher max fill amount, increased stability, standalone implementation and improved workflow alongside a SOVDA Lift system.

What’s the Precision Fill’s durability like?

Precision Fill has been in use since 2019 with minimal maintenance reports. SOVDA leverages existing industrial supply chains to acquire over-build components at an affordable price point. Most parts in the Precision Fill never come close to their maximum operating ranges and, as a result, provide incredible durability. Replacement parts are available through SOVDA and can often be sourced locally for minimal downtime.

Why purchase a Precision Fill over other machines?

Our Precision Fill comes with the same personalized support as all SOVDA products, should you need extra help. It’s an aesthetically pleasing machine that provides high speed and accuracy in the packing process. If you’re looking to reduce loss from incidents such as accidental spillage, the Precision Fill and Precision Fill Mini are products you should consider for your roastery.

How cost-effective is Precision Fill?

Generally, Precision Fill will cut your filling time slightly more than in half compared to hand filling. One specific customer cut down three hours of projected production time to 30 minutes as a team. This means payback for most clients in four to 12 months, depending on volume and labor costs.

Will it work with my bags?

Precision Fill comes equipped with a stainless steel filler head, specially designed to easily open most 250g bags while allowing for fast flow on bags up to 4kg. Custom filler heads for unique packaging are also available to order.

How does Precision Fill compare to the original Precision Fill Mini?

What’s the lead time?

Generally, the lead time from order purchase to delivery is about 100 days. This includes production and shipping times without additional equipment. However, customized paint jobs or items can increase lead times.

Can it weigh ground coffee?

Unfortunately, no. We’ve received previous inquiries about creating a ground coffee solution, but we don’t yet offer one. All of our equipment is compatible with green or roasted whole-bean coffee. However, we recommend purchasing equipment specifically for either option, as alternating between green and roasted (or ‘raw’ and ‘cooked’) coffee beans is time-consuming and tedious to clean and purge.

How can I customize my Precision Fill?

We have limited customization options, including colors, larger hopper extensions and interchangeable filler heads. Please reach out to your Technical Brand Ambassador or Distributor for more information.
