Caravan Coffee in Newberg, Oregon asked Sovda to create a secondary packaging line that could duplicate their current packing line. The job would involve both off-the-shelf Sovda products (the Precision Fill and Lift) and a custom-made solution.
The speed and accuracy of Sovda’s Precision Fill exceeded Caravan’s expectations so much so that Caravan switched to the Sovda packing line as their primary packing line.

Other Weigh and Fills are a trade-off between speed and accuracy. Sovda’s Precision Fill is a hybrid solution so you don’t lose out on accuracy for speed or vice versa. We do this by combining a gate with a vibrating plate to feed your coffee into your bags.
The Caravan project also required a custom solution for their unique workflow. Sovda was able to leverage its custom-engineering initiative, Custom House, to create a 200 kilo silo to fit on top of the Precision Fill, thereby creating exactly what Caravan needed.
