Sovda: Innovation with You in Mind

Sovda was born from one need:

Color sorters for specialty coffee roasters

Color sorting technology has been around since the 1930s but let’s face it, it all went to where the money is—industrial-sized factories and industrial dry mills.

Adapting these machines into a specialty coffee roastery is not only impossible for those with small spaces, but it costs a lot of money and it’s also a huge headache to implement into a smaller production line.

And that’s what makes Sovda unique—we engineer color sorters for 12 to 120 kilo roasters.

And not only color sorters, but to this day we’ve built an assortment of machines all with the same goal in mind: engineer them for specialty coffee roasters.

So how do we do this?

First, is ease of integration and install.

In a large factory, there is often a team of engineers who are working on integrating equipment into a production line. In the specialty coffee world, you’re either paying a lot of money for a contractor or it’s the roaster and the owner doing the job—all while they’re fulfilling coffee orders.

We’ve made it easy to integrate Sovda machines into your current production line. For example: perhaps you need a conveying system to connect some of your existing equipment. Our modular design is easily adaptable and allows for customized mounting plates and our pipes can be easily connected and disconnected to fit what you need.

Our machines also seamlessly integrate with each other so that your production line flows effortlessly. Base for your color sorter? We’ve got it handled. Conveying system that fits your packing line? It’s here.

Second, is price.

We realize that most roasters need more equipment than they can afford, so we’ve paid specific attention to the needs of coffee roasters when designing our machines, and combined those needs into one machine when we can.

Our latest Precision Lift has a built in destoner, therefore dramatically reducing the cost that would normally go into creating two separate machines. This allows us to sell a high quality product at a competitive price that specialty coffee roasters can afford.

At Sovda, we have promised to be engineered for specialty coffee roasters which means that we’ve promised to create machines that will fit into your space, be more affordable, easier to implement into your production line and easier to install.
